We spent today tackling the front yard's persistent English ivy. We decided to give up on coexistence. Chalk up another win for good enough gardening.

Today we unearthed more of what is probably the original low garden wall.

I started what seemed like a simple project on the north side of the yard, but I didn't expect a bent trowel, a patch of poison ivy, or the discovery of the protected vine zone.
