Sumoing on Elm

Sumo wrestling at Stroll on Elm.

Yesterday we left the garden in favor of visiting Stroll on Elm. On the first Saturday of June-November (save July), downtown Greensboro shuts down a block and hosts vendors, live music, and events/experiences. This time around, it included amateur sumo wrestling with an announcer, a ring official, and side judges. Although put on by Bodyarmor State Games, it felt very DIY (in the best way) and reminded me of the early days of flat track roller derby. I loved it.
