Wren on a Fence

A small Carolina wren perches on the top edge of a weathered gray wooden privacy fence next to a hanging bird feeder on a metal shepherd's hook in a shaded backyard garden in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Bird on not a wire.

We moved the problematic bird feeder to a hook outside the bedroom window. This afternoon I spied a Carolina wren checking it out from the fence. He didn’t make it to the feeder, but he spent quite a bit of time there, preening. I was delighted.
